Maria McConville Pizzarello is an actor, teaching artist, and playwright. A resident of Connecticut, she has performed with Thrown Stone, taught with Open Arts Alliance and developed theatre programming at the Darien Arts Center. Maria is currently the Education Director for Stage Partners. Growing up in NYC, Maria attended LaGuardia HS of Performing Arts and graduated from Fordham University with a degree in performance. In NYC, Maria was a teaching artist with TFANA, TDF, and Leap. As a playwright, she is published with Playscripts and Stage Partners. As an actor, Maria was featured in the indie films GAYBY, MEMORIAL DAY and in the web-series, SUBMISSIONS ONLY. In New York, Maria has performed with/at NYTW, EST, CSC, Woodshed Collective, SoHo Rep, HERE Arts Center, undergroundzerofestival, The Kirk @Theater Row, Fordham Alumni Company, 78th Street Theater Lab, aMios, BAX, Shakespeare in the Park-ing Lot, NY Fringe Festival to name a few. Jason Pizzarello is a Connecticut-based playwright and theater professional specializing in project management, content creation, and theatrical licensing. He is the co-founder of Stage Partners, a licensing house of new plays for young artists and audiences. His own plays have been developed with The Tank, Soho Rep, HERE Arts Center, Irondale Ensemble, 3LD, and Classic Stage Company. Five of his short plays were selected by the Actors Theatre of Louisville as Heideman Award finalists. Over thirty of his plays for young actors are published and have been performed over 3,000 times in all 50 states and in over 25 countries, including a Norwegian and Bengali translation. When he's not writing, he proudly serves as a logistics officer with the New York Army National Guard. He's also equally proud to serve as the silly father of two young daughters.

Leyla DeMolina (Lulu) is a Brooklyn-based interdisciplinary theater and film artist. She is an actor, a dancer, a writer, a baker, and a competitive crossword puzzler. Leyla is drawn to immersive, experiential work that incorporates movement practices, collaborative storytelling, and explorations of the senses. Leyla has worked with Third Rail Projects, SheNYC Arts, Manhattan School of Music, and as a kid's summer theater teacher. Some recent project highlights include performing in a collaborative devised piece with the Underground Skills Exchange (May 2022) and acting in the play "Miss Memphis" for the Rogue Theater Festival (June 2022). She is a Shakespeare nerd, companion to a cat named Paloma, and an eternal thalassophile. Leyla holds a BA in Theater Arts and Performance Studies from Brown University.
Stephen Kalpin (Kyle) is an actor and playwright based in Hartford, CT. Recently, he has performed as Chuck in She Kills Monsters at Hole in the Wall Theater in New Britain, and in multiple productions with New Zenith Theatre Company: Demetrius in A Midsummer Night's Dream and Hugo in Tuck Everlasting. Stephen is a graduate of Central Connecticut State University, where he studies both English and Theatre Performance. While at CCSU, he performed in such roles as Max in Lend Me a Tenor, Algernon in The Importance of Being Earnest, and Conrad in Stupid F**** Bird.
Betzabeth Castro (Leaf Dragon/Squawk) is a CT-based actor and singer and recently performed in A Silly Dilly Concert and as Belle and other characters in A Christmas Carol at the Legacy Theatre. Other recent credits include The Romancers (Sylvette) with Play With Your Food, Sound of Music (Maria) with Fairfield Center Stage, Westport Country Playhouse’s NEW WORKS / NEW VOICES series in Phenomenal Women+ Inspire, Twelfth Night (Feste/ Sebastian) with Advice to the Players and Skeleton Crew (Shanita) with Collective Consciousness. Betzabeth is so excited to be a part of such a unique, and fun production!
Emma Duffy (CooCoo Bird/Squeak) is a recent graduate from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City, but, as a Connecticut native, she is super excited to be back in her home state and performing with the incredible cast and crew of Off the Trail! She’s recently been in shows such as Grease (Jan) and Cinderella (Stepsister), but none on such an awesome stage! As a lifelong Girl Scout and hiking trail hide-and-seek enthusiast she is super excited to get lost in the woods with all of you! That is, if you can find her first!
Maggie Tumiotto Jackson (Linda/Root Witch) is an actor, singer, dancer, and performance artist based in Queens, New York. For many years, she performed concert dance, plays, and musical theatre behind the proscenium, but now works primarily in interactive theatre. She is involved on an ongoing basis in immersive dinner theatre with The Murder Mystery Company, and serves as a standardized patient actor in several New York area hospital systems. Having worked as a Girl Scout camp counselor for nine summers in her home state of Tennessee, Maggie feels very at home in the outdoors, and loves the mutual teaching-and-learning process of working with children and young adults. Katherine Braun (Production Manager/Understudy) is a New York based Stage Manager and Actor. Originally from Adelaide, Australia she moved to New York to attend the American Academy of Dramatic Arts where she graduated in 2016. In Australia Katherine graduated from the Adelaide Center of Performing Arts with a degree in Stage Management and Technical Production. She has worked professionally as a Stage Manager and Assistant Stage Manager, touring both nationally and internationally. Australian companies include State Theatre Company of South Australia, Sydney Theatre Company, Bell Shakespeare, State Opera of South Australia, Patch, Brink Productions, Adelaide Arts Festival, WOMAD. Her acting credits include, The Chekov Trilogy (F2T), The Constant Wife, Habeas Corpus, The Dancers, Summer Brave (AADA), Mrs Warren’s Profession, Othello, Medea, Absurd Person Singular (AADA Studio). New York based Stage Management/Tech Production include the 2022 Tribeca Festival. Katherine is part of the expert team at Pivot Dancer (@pivotdancer), where she is specializes in pointe shoe fitting, both in New York and internationally.

Lisa is a previous winner of the Connecticut Outdoor & Environmental Education Association's Connecticut Outdoor Environmental Educator of the Year. Her programs have been featured on the Today Show, in Scholastic News Magazine, and on numerous local and regional news outlets. At the SM&NC she oversees all youth and family-based education initiatives, develops most of educational curriculum, and serves as the Summer Camp Director.
Sarah Lane has been an elementary school teacher for over 10 years, and currently teaches Kindergarten at Springdale School in Stamford, CT. An SPS Spotlight Award winner in 2018, Sarah earned a degree in Environmental Education from The University of Bridgeport and focused her study on the environment of Fairfield County.
